'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme was launched by the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote engagement amongst the people of states and union territories in the country in order to enhance mutual understanding and bonding between people of diverse cultures, thereby securing stronger unity and integrity of India. The programme envisions to portray the unity amongst cultural diversity of the paired states and union territories, as per the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resources and Development.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has organized the informative and cultural event on its 8th occasion out of scheduled 16 days of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) series of events in a year, with paired states of Bihar – Tripura – Mizoram, in its Campus at Argul, Jatni on 4th August 2018 under the guidance of Director Prof. R.V. Rajakumar.
Students, staffs, faculty and their family members from different age groups, cultures, and states participated in the informative and cultural event of these paired states. There was a spot quiz game competition, with questions based on the history, geography, culture, tradition, festivals of the paired states, in which audience participated actively. Informative videos on the paired states are displayed in the beginning of the event to provide information on the paired states. There was a poster exhibition on the paired states near the venue.
