Prof. Saroj Nayak, Professor, School of Basic Science, developed a smaller solar-powered pump that was ideal for 90% of the farmers in Odisha. Prof. Nayak invented one that ran on solar power and also got a patent. He and his colleagues also took electricity to Odisha’s villages.
