Prof. Prasanta K.Mishra, Emeritus Professor, School of Mechanical Sciences, awarded as "Elder Engineer" of the State by the Institution of Engineers (India) along with six others. The Institution of Engineers (India) recognized his distinguished services for his "lifelong and dedicated contribution to the Engineering Profession". The award was given on the 50th Engineers' Day, 15th September 2017 at the Odisha State Center, Bhubaneswar.
