Live Webcast of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Address to the Nation on 11th September 2017
On September 11, 2017, the live webcast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India’s address to the nation at the Student Leaders Convention on the occasion of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Centenary Celebration and 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Address at Chicago World Parliament of Religions was broadcasted at several venues in the institute for wide viewing by students and faculty members. The theme of the programme was: “Young India, New India --- A Resurgent Nation: from Sankalp to Sidhhi”.
The arrangements for live webcast of this event were done at the following venues of the Institute.
- Community Center
- E-Classroom
- VC Room and Room # 318 in School of Electrical Sciences
- PDS Laboratory
- VC Room at Toshali Bhavan
The Director was present at the Community Center for this big event. A large number of students were present in the Community Center for viewing this event. Also, the faculty members viewed this event being distributed among the multiple venues. The event started at 11 a.m. The address by the Hon’ble Prime Minster was almost for an hour. During his address, he emphasized on several key issues such as Swachha Bharat, Service to Mankind etc. He gave several illustrative examples from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. He advised the students to take India ahead on the path of glory. Everybody was truly inspired by his mesmerizing speech. After the event was over, the Director also advised the students to take the message from the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address home and to work towards building a Strong India.
