On 11th March 2017, the social service Society of IIT Bhubaneswar Soul for Solace did their bit to make the world a better place to live by spending a day with the little children from the Prativa orphanage organised in Association with People for Seva, a Bhubaneswar based social service group. Aboard the bus, about 10 members of the society made their way to Prativa.On reaching there, they were greeted by the innocent smiles of the 30 boys living in Prativa Asharam. The Souls For Solace team mingled with the kids and interactived with them, only to be humbled by their tales of school, friends and games. Excited to meet the Souls For Solace team, some of the boys sang songs. Previously, the society had collected money to buy new clothes for the children. Each child received a shirt and a pair of jeans. Overjoyed with their new clothes, the children tried them on and then, proceeded to play Holi with Soul for Solace team. Everyone felt their inner child come free when they enjoyed running around in the sun, smearing each others faces with colours. Post this, the boys cleaned up and were distributed snacks by the team. Finally, they bid a joyful goodbye with plans to meet again after a few weeks and the day ended on a happy note.
