School of Basic Sciences (SBS) at IIT Bhubaneswar started the short-course "Computational electronic structure theory methods for atomic, molecular and solid-state systems" through the GIAN scheme under the MHRD, Government of India on July 08, 2016. The course is scheduled to run from July 08 to July 18. Prof. Danny L. Yeager from Texas A&M University, College Station (USA), an eminent theoretical quantum chemist, is the international expert for this course. Dr. Kousik Samanta of SBS is the course coordinator. The inauguration ceremony was held on July 08, 2016 at 9:30 am at Virtual Classroom 2 at the Toshali Bhavan Campus in the presence of Prof. V. R. Pedireddi, Dean (Student Affairs) and Prof. S. Mahapatra, Dean (Continuing Education).
