Conclave of Heads of Placement Cell from IITs

Career Development Cell of IIT Bhubaneswar organized a conclave of Heads of Placement Cell from all IITs on 1st April 2016. Heads of placement cell of various IITs act as a forum which is named as All IIT Placement Committee (AIPC).

At the outset, Director IIT Bhubaneswar, Prof. R. V. Rajakumar addressed the conclave. While sharing his views, he emphasised on the need to encourage core industries to participate in the campus placements in large scale so that human resources produced by IITs could be properly utilized.

AIPC members met to discuss the issues such as: common problems and possible solutions, co-ordination among IITs, suggestions to improve placements, etc. AIPC acts as common platform to make the better way of interaction between student’s community and the industries. During the meeting, various issues have been discussed such as: common pre-assessment test, encouraging PSUs to visit campus, student’s issues related to the companies, etc. In addition, AIPC members chalked out future plans for enhancing the placements.
