SES Ph.D. thesis got POSOCO Power System Award-2016 in Doctoral Category

SES Ph.D. research Scholar Lokanath Tripathy and Deepak Kumar have been selected for the prestigious POSOCO Award-2016 in Doctoral Category

POSOCO Power System Award (PPSA) is an initiative to recognize and reward innovative technical research excellence in power system by discovering and encouraging fresh Doctoral/Masters research accomplishments in power system and related field. This project is a joint venture of Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO), a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID), and Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT, Delhi.

Lokanath Tripathy carried out research on “Detection, Classification and Location of Faults on FACTs Compensated Transmission Lines " and Deepak Kumar carried out research on “Advanced Power Distribution System Planning “ under the supervision of Dr S R Samantaray. Both of them will receive a cash award of Rs 60,000 and a citation.
