IIT Bhubaneswar signed an MoU with NHAI for betterment of National Highway infrastructure in Odisha. The institute has adopted a stretch of 124 km of NH 16 (Tangii to Chandikhole in Odisha) as a voluntary initiative under the ambit of Institute Social Responsibility (ISR). The adopted stretch will be used as a field of study by the faculty members and students for implementing new technologies/ solutions in highway infrastructure development and management. Apart from this, NHAI will offer internships to 15 number of undergraduate/ postgraduate students of the Institute periodically with stipend. This MoU will strengthen the industry-academia interaction.
