The Editors of the Journal Physics of Fluids recognised the techniques published in the article "Bikash Mahato, Naveen Ganta, Yogesh G Bhumkar, Mitigation of Aerodynamic Sound for a Laminar Flow past a Square Cylinder using a Pair of Cowl Plates, Journal Physics of Fluids", where a significant reduction of tonal noise is shown possible for the flow past a square cylinder by inserting a pair of cowl plates in the close proximity to the cylinder.
