IIT Bhubaneswar celebrates New Year 2020 in Grand Manner

On the occasion of New Year, the Institute organized a get together at the Community Centre of the Institute on 1st January 2020 (Wednesday) at 4.00 PM. Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar presided over the function and greeted all the students, faculty and staff members. Also present on the dais were Prof. V.R. Pedireddi, Dean Student Affairs, Prof. Sujit Roy, Dean R & D, Prof. R.K. Panda, Dean Alumni Affairs and International Relations and Col (Dr.) Subodh Kumar, Registrar, IIT Bhubaneswar.

The celebration started with the welcome address by Registrar, lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais followed by the new year addressal by Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The event was followed by cake cutting ceremony, cultural performances and ended with a vote of thanks.

The new year celebrations also is significant owing to steady growth of the Institute on all fronts including the successful co-hosting of the 54th Inter IIT Sports Meet 2019. The motto was to share the happiness with each other with a commitment to contribute significantly to make Institute truly Global class in the coming years.
