Laboratory Facilities
ICLDB Laboratory:
The ICLDB Laboratory at IIT Bhubaneswar provides access to state-of-the-art technology and updated databases for research and teaching in Economics.
Currently there are 10 computers installed with the latest versions of Microsoft Office package. Also, many of the systems are well equipped with statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, E-Views, Limdep, etc. In addition, the central server provides access to Matlab. The Economics lab is very useful for running practical sessions in Econometric Analysis. Instructors regularly use it for lab-based UG/PG courses in Economics, Research Methodology and Data Analysis. It is also very popular amongst the doctoral students for research purposes.
Mode of access (department users): Access to the lab can be requested for teaching/research purposes. Please raise a request to the Lab In-Charge directly to use the available facilities.
Language Laboratory
The Language Laboratory is fitted with multimedia and learning content that is ideal for students of engineering. The software, content and module for the class room are based on Video-Auditory-Reading-Writing-Kinesthetic (VARK) model that enables non-speakers of English to practice personality development, presentation skills and speeches, listening skills and vocabulary. It has a 32 seating capacity and is an air conditioned, noise-free zone ideal for speakers to practice debates, extempore, Just-A-Minutes (JAMs) and role plays.
