Introductory Event For The Cinematics Society

The introductory event for the cinematics society was held on 20th August 2015 from 7:30 pm onwards in the institute auditorium. The event began with a small presentation giving an overview of the society- its functions, achievements etc. Short films of various genres were shown to the audience ranging from comedy to serious drama.

There were a couple of short films that were showcased during this occasion and one of them was -' The Way it Is' which has been a highly acclaimed short film made by the fourth year members of the society about a physically challenged man's struggle to cope with his life and how he deals with it forever...This film has won accolades and has received national recognition by winning the first prize in the National Film Festival organized by the AAINA group. Other short films named 'Turn the Page’, 'Ear Plugged' 'Being IITIAN' were also appreciated by the audience. All these videos are uploaded in the YouTube channel of our society.

Between these videos the governor of the society and the General Secretary-Socio Cultural ,Tushar Gautam spoke to the audience about his experiences working for two years in this society.

Another notable video which was shown on that day was ' Initial Impressions' which carried the interviews of the first year students during their first week of college.They were asked to give their initial honest thoughts and views on their first few days in the institute and these statements by the freshers were compiled and preserved in the form of a short video.

The event ended with the cinewave team coming on the stage and concluded the event with plans about the future of the society-the direction they want the society to go in.
