Biosketch

 
               Dr.Basu is currently a faculty member at School of Infrastructure, IIT Bhubaneswar. Prior to joining at IIT, Dr. Basu worked as Postdoctoral Research Employee at University of California at Davis.  Dr. Basu’s core research interest focuses on problem solving approaches relating to evaluation of Transportation OR Traffic Demand, which is primarily encompassing varied types & nature of demand-modelling techniques; and data-science approaches. Dr. Basu is also having an avid inclination towards Travel Behaviour Research, Choice Modelling, Modelling using Large datasets in RDBMS, Economic & Financial Eval. of Transportation related Infrastructure projects and operation of Public Transport. He was actively involved in various projects of the MoE - “Future of Cities”, IMPRINT. He has published numerous technical articles in journals and conference proceedings.
