Biosketch

Dr. Chaudhuri is currently working as a faculty member at the School of Infrastructure, IIT Bhubaneswar. He did his B.Tech. and M.Tech. from National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala). He completed his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). His Ph.D. dissertation focused on the “Onshore Buried Pipelines”. His research interests include Underground Space Technology, Buried Pipelines, Tunneling, Soil-Structure Interaction, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Piled Raft Foundation. Dr. Chaudhuri has also worked as a postdoc fellow at IIT Bombay. He was associated with various industrial projects of national importance, such as the Jammu-Udhampur NHAI tunnels, the Coastal Road tunnel at Mount, Mumbai, and the GST Bhavan at Wadala, Mumbai, to name a few, during his Ph.D. and postdoc at IIT Bombay. He was selected for the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Post-Doctoral Fellowship (commonly known as the Marie-Curie Fellowship, MSCA) from the European Union. He was Institute Gold Medalist in M.Tech. and Institute 2nd rank holder in B.Tech. He received Young Geotechnical Engineer Best Paper Biennial Award from Indian Geotechnical Society in 2022 and 2023.
