Dr. Arjun S. is currently working as Assistant Professor in the School of Infrastructure, Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar.

He did his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala. He further explored the higher studies option and joined the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) for Master of Technology in Geotechnical Engineering; later converted to Dual degree PhD programme and completed in February 2025. His PhD thesis focused on “Soil Thermal Conductivity – Measurements, Prediction Models, and Field-scale Applications”. He also worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Project Research Scientist at IIT Bombay for one year.

He was selected for the prestigious Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in 2020.
