Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Celebration for Rajasthan-Assam & West Bengal will be on 15th November 2017
Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat
On October 31, 2016, ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote engagement amongst the people of states and union territories in the country in order to enhance mutual understanding and bonding between people of diverse cultures, thereby securing stronger unity and integrity of India. The programme envisions to portray the unity amongst cultural diversity of the paired states and union territories, as per the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resources and Development.
Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar, lead students and faculty members to organize the programme in a spirited manner to uphold the efforts of Govt. of India under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modiji in spreading the message of unity between the people of different cultures through this initiation. He called upon whole IIT Bhubaneswar community, which is full of students, staffs, faculty members and their family members of diverse cultures, to participate in this programme with full enthusiasm for maintaining the spirit of unity on all sphere of life.
Several faculty members in association with the vast number of students and staff have designed a calendar events and activities for 16 days thought the year to make cause so vibrant. The activities will include songs, both vocal and instrumental, folk and classical dances, dramatics, traditional fancy dress, paintings, sketching, Rangoli, food fest, photography and documentary screening, amongst others. A large number of students, staffs and faculty members with their family members have already registered for participation in different events. The first event will be will be held on November 15, 2017 to highlight the cultural exchange among Rajasthan, Assam and West Bengal.
