Design of hydropower installation components intake structures, water conductor systems, tunnels, surge-tanks, penstocks, valves and anchor-blocks. Types of powerhouse Underground, Semi-Underground. Turbines and their foundations. Introduction to structural and geotechnical aspects of powerhouse design, CAD applications. Similitude and Models.
